On October 4, 1947, the expert in Roman Law César Rascón García was born in León . Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of León, from which he was also awarded the gold insignia.

He studied Law and received his doctorate in 1975 from the University of Oviedo with his thesis directed by Professor Armando José Torrent Ruiz , “Pignus and custody in Classical Roman Law”, although he had already begun teaching activity at the University three years earlier. Oviedo University.

He continued at this University and at the University of Extremadura until, after taking the exams in 1982 for the Chair of Roman Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Extremadura, he won them and in April 1983 he took office, so he moved to the University of Phone Number Data Extremadura. the following year to the same chair at the University of León, where he continued to impart his knowledge until his retirement in 2012. At this University he was director of the Department of Roman Law , director of the Department of Basic Legal Sciences and, also , vice-rector for Academic and Faculty . Among his books : Synthesis of history and institutions of Roman law; Manual of Roman law; Synopsis of the history of Roman law. With José María García González: law of the XII Tables . His articles include: On the reception of laesio ultra dimidium as a cause for termination of contracts in Spanish Law (Murcia 1996); Regarding the repression of the bacchanals in Rome ; Normative facts and proven facts , (Altea 2004); On real guarantees (Buenos Aires 1999); The presumption as a starting point for litigation (Madrid 2000); Four exceptions to the rules of the burden of proof in games (Ourense 1998); Custody without presumption of guilt ; Omne Solum Viro Forti Patria Est ; Maymó and Rives; Roman Law in the Spain of Charles III (Granada 1995) and Popular actions in our Roman municipalities (León 1997).
